In this updated lesson, we are going to learn how to understand and read the Dutch alphabet in English easily. How many letters are in the Dutch alphabet? How many letters does the English alphabet have?
Letters
The good news is that the Dutch alphabet has 26 letters. Guess what? The English alphabet also has 26 letters. Great news, right? I first thought because they were the same letters and would probably sound the same as well.
Q, X & Y
But, in Dutch, you can only use the letters Q, X, and Y in foreign words. So, I got a little bit confused. And then, the pronunciation of the Alphabet in Dutch got me even more confused. Below is how I write and say the alphabet in Dutch and English.

Study
I would highly recommend that you take the time to study the Dutch alphabet table above and below. Practice it over and over again. Hopefully in the future, I will share Dutch pronunciation audio with you. They will allow you to hear and practice easily.

How I Wrote Dutch Alphabet In 2013
The Dutch alphabet has 26 letters.
The English alphabet also has 26 letters.

No. The alphabet image above was not created back in 2013. I downloaded it from one of our online free image providers and fiends. www.FreePik.com They have great images. And they are free. No idea when it was created. But I created it for the Dutch Alphabet Letters post on Monday 5 April 2021. Again, no! I am not affiliated with them. At least not YET! Meaning?
